Winter storm looms midweek
0 0

Click for 7 Day ForecastA winter storm continues to show signs of developing for later in the week. In the meantime, things remain mild but with wind and more clouds then we have had.

A series of weak disturbances move across the region, creating cloudiness and windy conditions through Wednesday. Winds will be especially strong down the East mountain slopes, with gusts around Livingston up to 60 mph today.

Otherwise, generally mostly cloudy, with highs mainly in the mid to lower 60s Monday and Tuesday. Overnight temperatures will stay mainly in the 30s to low 40s.

Conditions will start to turn much colder Wednesday, especially by Wednesday night into Thursday. There are still a lot of question marks with this system, but the potential for heavy snow and strong winds with reduced visibility should be considered for travel by Thursday morning.

Billings forecast:

Monday… Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph.

Monday night… A slight chance of a shower, otherwise mostly cloudy with a low around 43.

Tuesday… Partly to mostly cloudy, and about 62 for the high.
