Wind will highlight the weather for today. Overall, mild and dry conditions continue this week.

Winds gusting to around 50 miles an hour will be widespread throughout the day today. High wind warning is in effect for areas of Eastern Montana from around Forsyth towards the Dakotas. Also, West of Billings, gusts around Livingston to Big Timber could reach to about 60 mph.

Expect a partly to mostly sunny afternoon, with highs mainly in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Winds will subside during the afternoon and evening from Billings to the West in time for Trick or Treating, but remain gusty to the East of Billings through this evening.

Tuesday and Wednesday will trend slightly cooler, with highs in the 50s with a few low 60s. But, the trend closer the weekend will be a bit warmer with plenty of sunshine and dry conditions.

Billings forecast:

Monday… Mostly sunny, with a high near 63. West winds increasing 20 to 35 mph with gusts 45 to 50 mph.

Monday night… Partly cloudy, the low around 42.
