The cooler temperatures arrive during the day, with rain showers to follow tonight. Expect an extended period of more fall-like weather conditions.

High temperatures today may occur early in the day, as a cold front continues to sink through the region. Generally mostly cloudy to cloudy, with area readings mainly in the upper 50s to 60s.

Area mountains above 8000 feet will likely pick up a quick 4 to 8 inches of snow overnight. Saturday will be cool, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s despite some clearing through the afternoon.

Billings forecast:

Friday night… Showers likely, especially late in the evening and overnight. Otherwise, cloudy with a low at around 41.

Saturday… A chance of a morning shower, and then partly to mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Cool, with a high near 52. 7 Day Forecast
