Warmer and windy at times
0 0

Temperatures will continue to warm for the next couple of afternoons, with less chilly mornings. At the same time, windy periods will become more frequent in the coming days.

Typical for this time of the year, winds will become gusty in the mountain foothill areas, especially around Livingston, Nye, and Big Timber. This will also push some wind out towards Billings from time to time through the course of the weekend.

Expect afternoon highs mainly in the 60s through Sunday, with lows mainly in the 40s to low 50s. Friday appears to be the warmest day the week, with some low 70° readings possible.

Hunters and hikers should be aware of a chance of rain and snow in the high elevations this weekend.

Billings forecast:

Thursday… Sunny to mostly sunny, with a high of about 63. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph.

Thursday night… Mostly cloudy, and near 48 early Friday morning.

Friday… Increasing clouds, and around 88 for a high. Expect some breezy periods, with gusts of 35 to 40 mph possible.
