There is a chance of showers Wednesday, especially West of Billing; and still some wind in Eastern Montana closer to the Dakotas. But, the big story next couple of mornings will be the cold overnight lows.
Much of the area will drop to freezing temperatures by early Thursday and Friday mornings for the first time this season. With lows in the upper 20s to low 30s, outdoor vegetation could be impacted so cover sensitive plants.
Expect below normal temperatures with a cloudy to mostly cloudy sky for Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.
For Wednesday, there is a chance of showers in the mountain foothills and higher elevations. East of Billings, for areas from Forsyth towards the Dakotas, wind gusts of 40 mph and sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph possible to this afternoon.

Wednesday… Mostly cloudy with a high of about 51. West breeze 5 to 15 mph.
Wednesday night… Mostly cloudy with isolated evening showers. Morning temperatures will be close to freezing.
Thursday… Around 52 for the high, and again, mostly cloudy with a light wind.
