Chilly and wet, at least for today
0 0

Expect a cool day, with clouds and rain showers with high elevation snow. Conditions will dry out, and gradually warm each day for the rest of the week.

Rain showers are likely for the lower elevations Monday from Billings to the West, with scattered showers to the East. Snow will fly into the Bighorn Mountains and the Bearthooths, with a rain/snow mix in the mountain foothills.

High temperatures Monday will only be in the 40s in most of the area, with some mid to lower 50s closer to the Dakotas. The chance of showers will decrease through the day, but the chance of snow will linger in the mountains overnight.

Be careful of wet and slushy roads Monday and Monday night, with morning fog likely Tuesday. Warmer and drier conditions will build in for the rest of the week, with highs approaching the low 80s by the weekend.

Billings forecast:

Monday… Rain showers, decreasing during the afternoon. Temperatures remain in the 40s throughout the day.

Monday night… A chance of rain showers, or even a little rain/snow mix overnight. A low near 37.

Tuesday… Partly sunny and around 58 for a high. Morning fog is possible.
