Temperatures will be similar to Tuesday’s highs for both Wednesday and Thursday. A series of disturbances will cause periods of wind.
A cold front moves through the Billings area around 2 AM early Wednesday. As that system continues to exit Eastern Montana, it could create areas of heavy rain and even possible hail.
Otherwise for Wednesday, expect a mostly sunny afternoon with temperatures mainly in the upper 60s to mid 70s. There could be some breezy periods, especially in the mountain foothills and is the storm system exits Eastern Montana.
For Thursday, highs are back in the upper 60s to mid 70s. With a series of disturbances cranking through the area, winds will increase Thursday afternoon with gusts of 40 to 50 mph possible.
Billings forecast:
Wednesday… Decreasing afternoon clouds, with a high near 74. A West breeze.
Wednesday night… Partly to mostly clear, with a low of about 51.
Thursday… Mostly sunny, and around 75 for the high temperature. Afternoon winds increase to 15 to 30 mph with gusts to around 40 mph possible.
