We should experience a little bump upward in the temperatures for both Thursday and Friday afternoons, with the leap up on Saturday. And there is a chance of showers or thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening that is worth at least a look.

The warm-up will be gradual for Thursday and Friday, with the highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s. Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine all day.

Precipitation for Thursday will be confined to the higher terrain and near the foothills.

A better chance of rain develops Friday as a disturbance swings through the region. Even still, these will remain scattered and quick moving showers and thunderstorms.

Temperatures will take a quick pop warmer on Saturday, with many of the highs reaching 80s. 90 degree readings are possible on Sunday.

Billings forecast:

Thursday… Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Light breeze turning easterly of the afternoon.

Thursday night… Partly cloudy, with a low of about 50.

Friday… Partly cloudy with scattered area showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon noon. Around 74 for the high temperature.
