Temperatures will return to seasonal averages today, and stay close to that all weekend. But, the chance of showers and thunderstorms will progressively rise each afternoon.
Afternoon readings today and through Sunday will be mainly the upper 80s to low 90s, close to the 30 year average. Expect plenty of sun, and a light East breeze into this afternoon.
A few high elevation showers or thunderstorms could develop for this evening, producing mainly gusty winds. The chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue to increase each afternoon Saturday and Sunday.
A major outbreak of storms is not expected. However, the scattered storms that do form this weekend have the potential for pockets of heavy rain, gusty damaging winds, dangerous lightning that could spark wildfires, and hail.
