Look for cooler temperatures and less wind overall for today. Highs will be mainly in the upper 70s to mid 80s, with sunshine a light breeze.

Overnight temperatures will slip to the 40s and 50s, and readings will start to nudge back into the 80s to low 90s tomorrow afternoon. Those are about average for this time of the year.

Hit and miss showers and thunderstorms will become more numerous over the weekend. So the storms have the potential for some heavy rain, gusty winds, frequent lightning, and hail.
