Warm and generally dry ahead

Generally warm and dry conditions will develop across much of the region for today. Some isolated storms are possible especially in Eastern Montana.

Afternoon high temperatures all across the region today will be into the mid-70s to mid 80s with sunshine in a few clouds. A few isolated storms could develop along the Eastern edge of Montana this afternoon and early this evening.

Overnight readings will be mainly in the upper 40s to mid 50s, and generally partly cloudy.

For Friday, highs will edge up slightly with a weak high-pressure ridge. Again, storms are possible tomorrow with a slightly better chance close to Billings of an isolated storm.

Through the weekend, temperatures will generally be in the upper 70s to mid 80s for the highs and with lows in the 50s. We could see a significant spike in the temperatures heading into next week.

Billings forecast:

Today… Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. A light West Northwest breeze through this afternoon.

Tonight… Partly cloudy, with a low at around 55.

Friday… Mostly sunny, and about 87 for the high temperature. A light breeze continues, with isolated evening storms.
