Behind yesterday’s storm system, were left with sunshine and comfortable temperatures for this afternoon. A spike in the temperatures is on the way for Friday and Saturday, before unsettled weather returns Sunday.

Plenty of afternoon sun around the region for today, with high temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80s. With a light West breeze, expect conditions to stay dry for this evening.

After lows drop mainly to the 50s, Friday will be hotter. Temperatures will Spike to the upper 80s to mid 90s, with isolated showers and thunderstorms from Billings to the West by tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Saturday’s highs will stay in the 90s ahead of a cold front. With a chance of showers and thunderstorms as the front passes Saturday night into Sunday, temperatures will cool to the 70s to low 80s Sunday afternoon. Cool, unsettled, and somewhat windy weather carries into Monday.

Billings forecast:

Today… Sunny, with a high near 83. West breeze 5 to 15 mph.

Tonight… Partly cloudy, with a low at about 57.

Friday… Mostly sunny and hotter. Around 94 for the high with isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
