Today brings a better chance of showers and thunderstorms with measurable rainfall that we’ve seen for a while. Temperatures will trend cooler, but the chance of strong to severe storms exists from Billings to the South and East.
Expect highs today be mainly in the 70s West of Billings, to the mid to lower 80s East of Billings and through northern Wyoming. Clouds will increase through the day as an upper low moves across northern Montana.
Showers and thunderstorms could start earlier in the day West and North the Billings, and spread across the entire area by this afternoon this evening. Areas from Billings to the South and East have the chance of strong to severe storms with large hail and damaging winds being the biggest threats.
A high-pressure Ridge starts to build in tomorrow, but temperatures remain slightly cooler than average. High-pressure Ridge pumps temperatures back to the low 90s on Friday and Saturday, but a chance of storms returns on Sunday.
