There is little change in the weather pattern expect isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms for the afternoon and evening, with above average temperatures for the next several days.
Generally mostly sunny across the area today, with a light West breeze. Highs will be mainly the upper 80s to low 90s.
As we’ve seen in the last few evenings, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop once again. There is a better potential for areas East of Billings to see some storms tonight, with lots of available moisture in the atmosphere. That could mean some pockets of heavy rain with a few storms that do form.
Any thunderstorm activity over the holiday weekend will have the potential to produce erratic winds and lightning, increasing fire risk. But rainfall will be spotty with above average temperatures continuing.
Billings forecast:

Saturday… Once again, mostly sunny and hot. High of about 95. 30% chance of showers or thunderstorms by the evening.
