More potential for severe storms today
0 0

Scattered strong storms are expected this afternoon and this evening across areas of Southeast Montana and northern Wyoming. Although widespread severe weather is not expected, scattered isolated storms could produce large hail and very strong winds.

The main focus for the strong to severe storms will be in areas East of Billings and South of Jordan extending all the way into northern Wyoming. Heavy rain, large hail of 1 to 2 inches, and gusts of up to 70 miles an hour possible with the storms.

Otherwise, expect a mix of clouds and sunshine with scattered isolated showers and thunderstorms from Billings to the West. High temperatures will be mainly in the upper 70s to mid 80s for today.

Billings forecast:

Today… Partly sunny with a 30% chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. A high near 82.

Tonight… A slight chance of showers or thunderstorms during the evening. Mostly cloudy otherwise, with a low near 55.

Tuesday… Mostly sunny, with isolated showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon. Around 85 for a high.
