Warm but breezy conditions today signal the beginning of progressively higher temperatures. Expect plenty of sun, and plenty of warm through the middle of next week.
As an area of high pressure builds across the region, winds will be breezy from Billings to the East. Gus could reach to around 40 miles an hour in the Eastern plains of Montana.
Low humidity and the building high-pressure ridge, afternoon highs will continue to edge upward. Highs could near 90° by early next week.
The next chance of precipitation in the lower elevations is an expected until Tuesday or Wednesday, and that doesn’t look significant. In what would be traditionally one of the wettest periods of the year, the lack of moisture is something to be watched.
