A weak cold front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms across the area this afternoon this evening. There’s a little better chance of rain closer to the mountains, and a better chance of gusty winds in the lower elevations.
High temperatures today will be mainly into the upper 70s to mid 80s, with the warmest readings favoring areas from Billings to the East. Clouds will increase through the day, with a chance of some scattered showers.
Around the Billings area, the best chance of a shower or thunderstorm will be during the afternoon and early evening. The storms will be hit and miss, and fast-moving.
For Friday, high temperatures will cool a bit from today’s highs. Expect a partly to mostly sunny afternoon and the work week with light winds and little chance of rain.
