Warm and dry conditions will dominate the weather as temperatures rise over the next few days. There are some downsides. Increased mountain snow melt will fill rivers and streams with fast-moving water, and wildfire risk could also increase.
High temperatures today will be mainly in the 70s, with plenty of sunshine a light wind. Overnight readings will drop to mild 40-something readings by early Wednesday.
Temperatures will continue to warm tomorrow, with most of the highs in our area in the upper 70s to mid 80s. By Thursday, we will likely break some record high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s.
A transition will happen Friday, bringing in clouds and a chance of showers or thunderstorms. This system has been trending a little bit drier in the last 24 hours, meaning that gusty winds could be a bigger hazard with less measurable precipitation.
