Other than a little Thursday hiccup, the trend is warming and dry
0 0

Temperatures may slip back a little on Thursday. But otherwise, the trend will be towards warming temperatures and dry conditions through Sunday.

Today will trend a little bit warmer than yesterday, the high-pressure ridge continues to build in warm and dry conditions. Expect a few breezy periods with low humidity. Combined with temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80s, there will be a slight increase in fire risk for later in the day.

A week cold front ripples through Eastern Montana late tonight and early Thursday. This could cause some showers well East of Billings. Overall, temperatures will be slightly cooler behind that disturbance tomorrow.

Another warming and drying trend will begin on Friday, and peak on Saturday and Sunday. Afternoon temperatures well into the 80s to around 90 are possible for the weekend.

Billings forecast: today… Partly sunny with a high about 82. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight… Mostly cloudy with a low near 50. Variable breeze.

Thursday… Mostly sunny with a high around 76. Increasing clouds during the afternoon and evening.
