William “Bill” Kane advises businesses, organizations & individuals on safe work practices and development of workplace safety cultures, as a Senior Safety Consultant and Trainer for Avitus Group. He has attained occupational instructor certifications from PEC SafeLand SafeGulf, OSHA Outreach, National Safety Council, Medic First Aid and American Safety and Health Institute. William has been instructing and conducting safety and leadership training for over 15 years. He has served as a Safety Director, Operations Manager, and a Laborer for Oilfield Service Companies. William is a decorated combat veteran that is passionate about workplace safety and is an expert at hazard analysis, risk management, development of safety programs and training.
William is a First Sergeant in the Army Reserves and serves as the acting Command Sergeant Major for 3rd Battalion 415th Regiment, Fairchild Air Force Base, WA. He has been in the Army Reserves for 20 years and has served in numerous assignments and deployments including Operation Noble Eagle, February 2003-July 2004, Operation Iraqi Freedom, February 2006- April 2007, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan February 2009-April 2010, and Operation Enduring Freedom, April 2010-April 2011. William is a Combatives Level II Instructor, Total Army Instructor, Small Group Instructor, and is a former Drill Sergeant. He is married to his wife Madison and is a native of Dillon, MT. His personal interests are woodworking, skydiving, hiking, fishing, hunting, and shooting.
