On 2/15/17  A 46 yr old Billings woman was travelingat 8:36an police and medical personal responded to 12th St W and Grand for a report of a vehicle which had hit a pedestrian in the roadway. westbound on Grand Ave in a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. A 28 yr old Billings woman was attempting to cross Grand Ave but was not in a crosswalk. The driver of the vehicle reported seeing the pedestrian crossing the eastbound lanes before stopping in the turn lane. The vehicle continued however the pedestrian attempted to cross the westbound lanes and was struck by the vehicle. The pedestrian was transported by AMR to St. Vincent’s hospital where she received care for a minor head and hip injuries. The pedestrian was cited for failure to yield to a vehicle while not using a cross walk (Montana Code Annotated 61-8-503).
