Today, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals kicks off its annual conference right here in Montana.

Senator Jon Testers talks via video to the 9th Circut Court of Appeals

This year’s theme is “Justice for All” and Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy will be in attendance.

With a member of our highest Court here in Big Sky Country today, we thought it’d be a good opportunity to remind folks that it’s been almost four months since the President nominated Judge Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court.

Despite being nominated almost four months ago, Judge Garland has yet to receive a hearing, a vote, or even just a meeting with certain members of the Senate.

Jon touches upon this issue in his message to the conference, and implores the Senate to do its job and hold a vote on Judge Garland.

“The Senate Judiciary Committee needs to hold a public hearing so that the American people can decide for themselves if Judge Garland is qualified, or not.”
