At approximately 1220 hours Billings Police responded to a report of a Robbery at the Latte Central 1300 block of Central Avenue. Upon arrival it was discovered a male, white, 506, skinny build wearing black running type pants and a white hoodie approached the north window of the kiosk from the alley directly behind the kiosk. The suspect was also wearing a black ski mask with green lines below the nose area. The suspect pointed a black handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk stated she had no money and the suspect climbed through the north window of the kiosk. Once inside the suspect grabbed the victim’s purse taking her wallet and makeup bag. The suspect then climbed out the south window of the kiosk fleeing on foot.
A customer was pulling up to the kiosk as the suspect fled on foot. The witness followed the suspect and called 911. The suspect was last seen getting into an older model tan pickup with no tailgate. The caller lost sight of the suspect prior to police arrival. A search of the surrounding neighborhood located the pickup unattended at the corner of Harney and South Plainview. The pickup was impounded pending a search warrant.
