The Billings Chamber of Commerce/Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce the newest resource for businesses, locals and anyone interested in legislative happenings. PublicPolicy.BillingsChamber.com is a website dedicated solely to the 2013 Legislative session on a local, state and federal scale. Users can view legislation tracked by the Chamber/CVB, contact a legislator, answer and view poll questions related to a variety of issues, read news stories on important matters, and take advantage of voter resources like access to elected official contact information, voter registration application, absentee ballot request, and more.
"It's exciting to finally announce our new "Public Policy" website," shares Chamber/CVB Director of Business Advocacy and Government Affairs, Bruce MacIntyre. "In my world, this is our "one stop shopping" website that has something for everyone, from taking a quick look at a particular issue to researching and understanding issues and contacting a legislator regarding your views. This will be an invaluable tool during the current session of the Montana legislature and an important source on the happenings in Washington DC. This will be my first and last stop for information!"
The strength of this website is based not only in the local power, but in the federal information available and the ease of information sharing on related issues. Part of a project by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, these websites are available to Chambers of Commerce all over the country, encouraging more individuals to stay informed and to share their voice.
The new website can be viewed at http://PublicPolicy.BillingsChamber.com.
