The annual “Corks & Canvas” dinner and auction, to be held at Hilands Golf Club on Friday, September 16, 2016, marks a decade of fundraising efforts dedicated to the operation of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Montana. This year’s fundraiser is co-chaired by Jessica Scheer and Kylee Bodley. “Corks & Canvas raises one-third of the annual operating budget for Ronald McDonald House, so it is a vital event for us,” states Connie Grammens, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Montana. In 2015, these funds were used to help 1,029 family members stay in proximity to their sick children while they received treatments at local hospitals. Corks & Canvas will be held on the course at the Hilands Golf Club and will offer both a silent and a live art auction, a delicious fourcourse meal, and wine-tasting featuring an assortment of fine wines from Merry Cellars Winery. Harry Koyama returns as Corks & Canvas’ signature artist. His artwork, along with distinguished artwork from a variety of talented local artists, will be up for bidding at the live auction! The event begins with wine, appetizers, and a silent auction at 5:30pm, and concludes with dinner and a live auction. “Last year the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Montana saved participating families more than $434,000 in accommodation costs. This is a crucial savings when families travel for their child’s medical care. It also allows parents to secure the best possible treatment for their children,” said Connie Grammens.
