As previously released on 05/11/2019 shortly after 7:30 PM officers were called to 12 Stella Street, for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived to find a 15 year old female from Billings with a single gunshot wound.

Officers with the BPD assisted bystanders with CPR until medical units arrived. Life saving measures attempted by medical personnel were unsuccessful. The victim was not transported from the scene.

Due to the on-going nature of the investigation and the involvement of juveniles, we are unable to release any additional details at this time.

The BPD would like to offer their condolences to the family and those effected by this tragedy. The School District has put resources in place for counseling services at Skyview, Medicine Crow, and Beartooth to support attending students.
